Zagonek Vecheslav Frantsevich
(1919-1994)

Was born 19 December 1919 in Irkutsk, East Siberia.
In 1950 Vecheslav Zagonek graduated from Ilya Repin Institute in Boris Ioganson workshop.
Pupil of Mikhail Bernshtein, Alexander Zaytsev, Genrikh Pavlovsky, Semion Abugov, Gleb Savinov.

Since 1939 he has participated in Art Exhibitions.
Member of LCRAU since 1950.
Painted genre scenes, subject and historical pictures, landscapes.
Personal Exhibitions in Leningrad (1966, 1990), Moscow (1966).
Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1963). Academy of Arts of the USSR silver medal prize-winner (1965).
Honored Art Worker of the Russian Federation (1968). The Russian Federation Prize named by Ilya Repin prize-winner (1977).
People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1979). People's Artist of the Soviet Union (1985).
A Member of the Academy of Arts of the Soviet Union (1988).

In 1937 Eugeny Zhukov graduated from Ilya Repin Institute in Boris Ioganson workshop.
Studied of Alexander Savinov, Mikhail Bernshtein, Semion Abugov.

Since 1948 he has participated in Art Exhibitions.
Member of LCRAU since 1964.
Painted portraits, subject and historical pictures, landscapes. Worked as Art Teacher in Vera Mukhina Institute (1957-1977).
