Eremin Alexei Grigorievich
(1919 - 1998)

Alexei Grigorievich Eremin was born March 17, 1919 in the village of Velikaya Guba, Northern Karelija.
In 1951 Alexei Eremin graduated from the Repin Institute of Arts in Boris Ioganson workshop.
He studied of Boris Fogel, Semion Abugov, Alexander Debler, Alexander Zaytsev.
Since 1939 Alexei Eremin has participated in Art Exhibitions.
He painted genre and historical paintings, portraits, landscapes, sketches from the life.
Alexei Eremin most famous for his paintings devoted to peoples and nature of Northern Karelija.
Since 1951, Alexei Eremin was a member of Leningrad Union of Artists.
Alexai Eremin was awarded the honorary titles of Honored Artist of Russian Federation (1970), and the People`s Artist of Russian Federation (1978).
Alexei Grigorievich Eremin died in Saint Petersburg in 1998.
Paintings by Alexey EREMIN reside in State Russian Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery, in Art museums and private collections in the Russia, Japan, England, Finland, and throughout the world.
